Call for Papers

The 4thvInternational Conference on the Sociolinguistics of Immigration (Slimig2020) is a two-day international conference which aims at bringing together scholars working on the epistemological, theoretical and methodological challenges posed to sociolinguistics and related disciplines by recent global migratory phenomena.

The focus of attention of Slimig2020 is on “Language, Power and Resistance in Relation to Migratory Contexts of (Im)mobilization".

The conference is organized by the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures and Modern Cultures of the University of Turin (Italy).

The conference will take place in Sestri Levante (Genova), Italy from 22nd to 23rd September 2020.

The language of the conference is English.
